A whole school healthy eating incursion is a great way to boost your student knowledge about healthy eating and develop the skills to make good food choices.
Sophie Butcher, a Nutritionist and Teacher, ran the two-day event at Glenroy Private recently with the help of pre-service teacher Danielle Berridge, which was enjoyed by students and teachers alike.
The program focused on three main areas based on the Australian Healthy Eating Guidelines: the importance of food for a healthy mind and body, understanding food packaging and labels and developing skills to identify foods that make up a healthy diet.
