Food Tasting Explorers

Children explore the wonderful world of fresh & healthy food during this fun-filled incursion. 

This incursion involves children using their senses & learning about different tastes and textures in a safe & structured environment.  

Children investigate where plant foods come from and how they are changed during processing.

What's included:

  • 50 minute incursion designed by qualified Teacher & Nutritionist 

  • Food items for children to taste & explore

  • Hands-on experience for all learning styles

  • Handouts for teachers & families

  • Follow up activities for students

  • Links to the Victorian Curriculum

Children explore how the five food groups are connected to their health and wellbeing in this game-based incursion. 

 

The incursion gives children the opportunity to go "shopping" for different foods and learn about how some fresh foods are processed into commonly consumed food products. 

What's included:

  • Shopping experience for students

  • Comparison of fresh V processed foods

  • Hands-on experience for all learning styles
